LA Protests Intensify Over Immigration Policies
For the third consecutive day, Los Angeles streets have been flooded with thousands of protesters opposing President Donald Trump’s aggressive immigration crackdowns. The unrest began after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted surprise raids on wholesale businesses in LA’s Fashion District and Home Depot stores, detaining over 100 individuals.
Protesters have occupied highways, set fire to at least four Waymo self-driving vehicles, and clashed with police, throwing stones and Molotov cocktails. The chaos has led to explosions from electric vehicle batteries and thick black smoke blanketing the city skyline.
